The social system of the firm and the strategy of the developmental work

This article decribes a theory of the firm as a social system
including three sub-systems based on production, values and interests. On this
background the article discusses the strategy of the developmental work which
the labour unions in Denmark have formulated and tries to define this strategy
more exactly. The future ideal firm consists also of three social subsystems.
The wor-kers are managing the production system. There is a democratic system
where inte-rests and conflicts are handled and nego-tiated and a communication
system where values are developed in a free dialogue.
