Development and solidarity

This article presents some results from one of the SARA projects. It analyses the interaction between development of human resources and the social relations in the firms. The authors investigate changes and their impact on solidarity and the relations between management and workers. The analyses of five cases show that solidarity is not replaced by more individualistic values. Still important differences in outcome are found. In some cases an engaged collective influence on the change process can be identified. In other cases no change is found because of lack of workers’ influence.
